As over half of the world’s population already lives in cities today, it is imperative to harness the promising potential of complex urban systems and leverage the power of their connectedness to
foster conducive, dynamic, sustainable spaces and livelihoods.
Cities are complex human-made organisms made up of myriad interwoven components: people, spaces, and infrastructure; ecological, social, economic, and technological layers; and systems of values, knowledge, and behaviours. In every urban system in the world, these elements interact and depend closely on one another.

Complex urban systems hold the potential for innovative, holistically sustainable urban transformation and development that facilitates social cohesiveness and diversity. It is the
comparative advantage of these elements that has resulted in centuries of urbanisation. While these spaces have the potential to promote human connection, diversity, sustainability, and innovation, they are regrettably frequently treated in isolation.
Further, their clashing often causes friction within and between communities and systems. When people try to address this friction, they face multifaceted, intertwined challenges. These challenges cannot be navigated in traditional ways; they require approaches that are equally locally bespoke, participatory, and multifaceted.

It is these challenges that our company was established to solve.
